About

Build a stable of boxers, match them against opponents from around the world and fight for titles. Pick each fight with care and put on a good show for the best rewards. Save your best talent for the title fights at the end of an event. Grow your stable with experience from events, with trades on the market and with packs from the store.

BoxManager is made by Mad Beans Games. It was first built in 2016 by Higher Coding.

Boxers

The aim of the game is to grow your stable of boxers. Every boxer card has six stats.

  • Power How hard shots land and how aggressive the boxer is.
  • Speed How many shots the boxer throws and how well they land combinations.
  • Technique How well power and speed are put to use. Overall boxing ability.
  • Endurance How well the boxer takes power shots and combinations.
  • Agility Slipping shots and moving out of the opponent's way.
  • Defence Blocking shots and combinations.

Stats and real life

New cards from packs and fight opponents follow real-life results, so a boxer's numbers can change from one card to the next. A card you own keeps its stats until it levels up or trains in the gym.

Levels and experience

Boxers earn experience from fights and level up, which raises their overall and every stat. Experience can add up to 7 levels. Some boxers earn more experience and credits for a win, based on their real-life potential.

The gym

Send a boxer to camp with a trainer to raise one stat for good. It counts in every fight and stays with the card if you sell it.

Trading

Only cards from packs can be sold or traded on the market. A card cannot be traded once it has fought in an event. A duplicate from a pack can replace your card, go on the market or be sold to the game.

Events

Events are where you pick fights for your boxers.

Entering

Each event costs credits. Higher-level events also need titles won in lower ones. A boxer fights once per event and can only enter events of its own quality.

Matching

Close fights pay more than mismatches. Every fight is decided by chance weighted by all six stats of both boxers. Most results are realistic, yet anything can happen.

Losing

A loss still pays some credits, based on how unlikely the win was. The boxer loses experience and can drop levels. Lose most of the fights in an event and you may win back less than the entry cost.

Knockouts

A boxer who is knocked out is injured and cannot fight again until enough events or time have passed.

Titles

Title fights have higher stakes. The reward depends on the title's quality and on how likely the win was. A boxer who wins a title can defend it against an unknown opponent. Defend it to win the title outright, then use it to enter higher-quality events. A boxer holding a title earns more from regular fights. Any loss costs the boxer the title, but titles you have already defended still count for entry.
